I would like to thank everyone who sent in their entries. Most of you who responded actually knew who he was. Some of you even had him as a teacher in junior high school and again at Far Rockaway High School. Many of you also knew that he had a brother who taught science at the high school as well. Although I never had him as a teacher, it seems as if those of you who did, recall him as a very "memorable" individual. His name of course is Alex Goros and his brother who also taught at Far Rockaway High School was Clem Goros.
